A planter defined by its surface. The Tarnley Embossed Ceramic Planter is formed in stoneware and finished with a high-gloss verdigris glaze — a shifting palette of blue, green, and soft caramel undertones. Vertical chain embossing adds architectural rhythm to its compact cylindrical shape, catching light across its glossy surface. Designed for shelf styling, sideboards, or layered compositions, its scale is modest, but its presence is deliberate.
Use with short faux stems, sculptural branches, or as a standalone object where texture, tone, and glaze become the focal point. Part of the Tarnley series, it reflects our studio’s commitment to tactile detail and form-driven design.
Dimensions: 17L x 17W x 17H cm
Material: Stoneware – Verdigris blue ceramic with a reactive high-gloss glaze and chain-embossed vertical relief; compact and sculptural with pooled surface tones and subtle caramel undertones.

▸ Surface as Statement – Glazed in Motion
The high-gloss verdigris glaze evokes oxidised metals and flowing mineral surfaces. Each piece reveals subtle tonal shifts between blue, green, and copper — creating a dynamic interplay between texture and finish.
▸ Pattern with Purpose – Vertical Relief, Reimagined
The raised chain embossing offers rhythm and form, grounding the cylindrical shape with architectural detailing. The pattern is structural, not decorative — a quiet nod to masonry and cast forms.
▸ Compact, Collected – Styled in Stillness
Best placed on narrow surfaces, layered shelving, or console tables. Its scale invites subtlety, while its surface demands attention. Use with dried stems or allow it to stand empty, emphasising materiality.
▸ Colourful Interplay
This planter finds visual rhythm when paired with the Whitford rounded emerald ceramic vase and the Ashfield faux eucalyptus stem. The tonal interplay between Tarnley’s oxidised glaze, Whitford’s deep green ceramic, and Ashfield’s soft green foliage creates a layered palette of mineral hues and sculptural forms.
