The Ashbury Stoneware Water Pot Planter is formed in slate-toned ceramic with a broad belly, softened rim, and subtle surface irregularity that echoes hand-thrown stoneware.
Its wide mouth and deep form invite tall dried stems, sculptural branches, or air — allowing the shape to speak without needing function. The scale grounds interior spaces without overwhelming them, making it a natural fit for entryways, corridors, or layered corners.
Please note, the vase's intended purpose is for faux flowers: to display real flowers use a florist's cellophane wrap to contain water.
Dimensions: 37L x 37W x 39H cm
Material: Stoneware – Slate grey ceramic with a soft matte glaze and lightly weathered surface; thick-walled with broad rounded form and subtle tonal variation throughout.

▸ Drawn from Stillness – Water Storage, Reimagined
This form recalls traditional water pots found in ancient domestic architecture — reinterpreted here with a broad, quiet presence and slate-fired tactility. The lip and belly feel grounded, yet deliberately softened.
▸ Stoneware with Mass – Subtle Glaze, Lasting Weight
Crafted in thick stoneware with a slate-grey matte glaze, the surface reveals movement in light and dark. Textural inconsistencies in the finish enhance its material depth and hand-touched identity.
▸ Unplanted, Unrushed – A Vessel for Form
This is not a planter in the conventional sense — it is a vessel. Leave it empty, or stage it with tall faux branches to emphasise vertical tension. It speaks loudest when styled minimally.
▸ Coordinated Styling - Ashbury Collection
This water pot completes the Ashbury collection’s tonal and sculptural language. It is designed to pair with the Ashbury Ribbed Stoneware Bowl Planter and the Ashbury Rimmed Jar, forming a unified set defined by weight, texture, and scale variation. The Ashfield Faux Eucalyptus Bunch may be used to introduce soft vertical contrast, enhancing presence without obscuring form.
